Sr. Director of Operations

The Sr. Director of Operations reports to the agency’s Chief Executive Officer, Gem Swartz, and is responsible for the efficient and profitable operations of the agency. As Sr. Director of Operations, you will also serve as Catalyst’s EOS Integrator, ensuring the agency adheres to EOS processes and best practices.

 

Responsibilities:

EOS Integrator

  • Lead the agency’s EOS initiative
  • Execute the business plan
  • Hold the Leadership Team accountable
  • Create organizational clarity, communication, and consistency
  • Force resolution, focus, team unity, prioritization, and follow-through
  • Act as the filter for all of the Visionary ideas
  • Harmoniously integrate the Leadership Team
  • Remove obstacles and barriers


Strategic Leadership

  • Set strategic goals and measurable benchmarks for operational efficiency and increased productivity while maintaining high-quality standards
  • Devise strategies and implement process improvements that support growth, improve quality output, and minimize costs
  • Work closely with the executive team to ensure organizational efficiency, and profitability goals are achieved
  • Draw on relationships with the leadership team and vendors to make decisions regarding improved operational activity and strategic goals
  • Work closely with the partners to lead the team with integrity and to establish and maintain a trusting, inclusive, and productive environment


Financial Stewardship

  • Responsible for the profitable operations of the company
  • Work with the finance team to implement a profitable pricing strategy for agency services
  • Identify and implement appropriate utilization of internal and external resources to achieve profitability goals
  • Generate reports that provide clarity of client profitability and agency efficiency and provide recommendations with a keen eye towards continuous improvement
  • Review financial information and adjust operational budgets to increase profitability
  • Work closely with the sales and account teams to ensure scopes are properly priced


Quality and Process Minded

  • Develop processes and procedures that allow agency teams to increase quality, productivity, and operational efficiency, and eliminate unnecessary steps that erode progress
  • Maximize efficiency and productivity and identify areas for improvement through extensive process analysis and interdepartmental collaboration 
  • Develop, implement, and monitor day-to-day operational systems and processes to provide visibility into the goals, progress, and obstacles of key initiatives
  • Plan, monitor, and analyze key metrics to ensure efficient and timely completion of projects
  • Ensure the strategy, creative, media, account, sales, and project management teams are operating at the most efficient and profitable levels


Project Management 

  • Establish budget, timeline, and cost controls
  • Lead, coach, mentor, and manage the project management team
  • Establish goals and direction for the project management team
  • Work with project managers in the development of financial and budgetary plans
  • Oversee and be held accountable for all client project timelines and budgets
  • Ensure the project management system, Teamwork, is providing the necessary data and information

 

Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of experience in a related position
  • 3+ years experience as an EOS integrator
  • Experience in scaling a small business
  • Multi-disciplinary agency experience is a plus
  • Exceptional skills in improving organization efficiency, productivity, and profitability
  • Masterful organizational, communication, and leadership skills, backed by previous professional success
  • Superior knowledge of multiple operational functions and principles, including finance, customer service, account management, production, and employee management
  • Proven ability to plan, manage, and optimize operational processes for maximum efficiency and productivity
  • Ability to streamline or implement structures and roles that boost speed and efficiency while supporting rapidly shifting business and client demands
  • Experience in developing budgets and business plans
  • Superior negotiation skills for both internal and external purposes
  • Strong working knowledge of data analysis and performance metrics, using project management software
  • Experience with Teamwork is a plus

 

Salary Range:

  • $105,000 – $165,000 annual base salary depending on location, and commensurate with experience, skills, education, and/or training.
